Whether you need to troubleshoot sensors or change batteries in one of your devices, you don’t want to risk sending a false alarm and having police dispatched.
Using the Vector Security app, you can put your system On Test with the central station, ensuring that if your alarm is triggered police will not be dispatched. And you won’t face any related fines or avoidable aggravation.
Tap the hamburger menu in the upper left of the Vector Security app. Then tap Monitoring Settings.
On the Monitoring Station Settings screen, tap System Test Mode.
On the next screen, select the duration you’d like your system to be On Test. Here a blue checkmark indicates that one hour has been selected. Next tap the Start Test Mode button.
You will be asked to Cancel or Confirm setting your security system on Test Mode. Select Confirm to put your system On Test. Your system will remain On Test for the duration you previously selected.
If you close the app and then want to stop test mode, tap the hamburger menu in the top left, and then select Monitoring Settings.
Tap on System Test Mode.
On the next screen, tap Stop Test Mode.
